Payment Process

Here at Reliance Scrap Metal, we use our in-house state-of-the-art computerised systems to keep track of ever-changing market trends. What this means, is that we can always offer you the best prices around with rates that accurately reflect the true market-value of your scrap metal. However, on the 3rd December 2012, the law was changed meaning that we can no longer pay you for your scrap metal in cash.

If you have scrap metal that you would like to offload, then don’t panic, as we can still provide you with the most competitive rates around. Continue reading to find out more about our simple and convenient payment process.


Before we can authorise any payments, we first require that you bring us a proof of Identification. Ideally, this should be a valid photographic driver’s license, however, we also accept passports when accompanied by a proof of address (bank statement or utility bill which should have been issued no more than three months prior).

From there, you can choose between three fantastic payment options:

  • Cheque
  • BACS
  • Faster Payment (there is a £5.00 fee if you request that the funds be deposited the same day)

If you are VAT registered, then you have the option to set up an account with us. The process is easy and straightforward – all we require is your email address and we will send you the relevant documents to complete.
